Frequently Asked Questions
What is Shamanism:
Shamanism is a body of knowledge which includes ancient techniques, disciplines, and ceremonies that are used to restore and maintain health and balance for individuals and communities. The key to successfully using these ancient tools is an intentional commitment to develop intimate relationships with the Spirits of all life forms and one’s Higher Self by consciously leaving ordinary reality and journeying into non-ordinary states of reality. By doing this, one gains valuable knowledge and insights which help move the individual or community into a state of greater harmony and balance, thus catalyzing their evolutionary journey and benefiting the greater good.
What are the benefits of Shamanism:
Become aware of who you are truly meant to be in this lifetime. Discover your life purpose and learn to actualize it. Gain health and wellness in all aspects of self: spiritual, emotional, physical, mental and sexual. Decrease stress and increase pleasure. Gain more synchronicity and flow in your life. Become more deeply connected to the beauty and simplicity of life. Learn to be “at cause” rather than having life happen to you. Connect with your intuition and inner wisdom.
What is Ceremony:
Ceremony brings together the physical realm with the spiritual…the inner realm with the outer. This is accomplished through the use of intentional actions, words, songs, and/or prayers. By providing a context for the inner and outer worlds to meet, ceremony opens the door to the realm of magic. Magic happens when the beauty and power of Spirit touches us at our core and with full awareness we engage in the task of healing ourselves. Ceremony is an intentional act of engagement with the forces of transformation. It is extremely personal even if it is a communal experience. To participate in ceremony is to participate in a mystery; to engage with the unknown. It will change you!
A Hopi Elder Speaks:
“You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this IS the Hour. And there are questions to be considered: Where are you living? What are you doing? What are your relationships? Are you in right relation? Where is your water? Know your garden. It is time to speak your Truth. Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for the leader.”
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time.”
